From mimicking babies, birds and animals, the elements; wind or rain to replicating the drum kit in beatboxing, the human voice and body can now go further creating any conceivable sound, instrument, ensemble or orchestration through new music technology techniques; looping, sampling, sequencing and mixing.
STUDENTS and EDUCATORS have the opportunity for accelerated learning and absorption through dynamic interactive & live playing in a whole assembly or classroom environment.
Students will be individually invited to participate and creatively contribute lyrics or melodies in a collaborative and improvisational style to new live compositions and soundscapes culminating in a
‘Body Percussion Orchestra’ ensemble.
Blending Ancient and Traditional with the Contemporary world music genres, and cultures, students will explore rhythms, ensemble playing and creative music arranging processes.

Live and Looping.
Delivered in a classroom environment, Live and Looping is a one hour workshop that utilises principles gained from Polyphonic Voices performance.
Students will further expand the horizons of unusual sound creation through the exploration of percussion from the body and the singing voice. New sound frontiers and virtual instruments will be invented with the assistance of music technologies.
Workshop Participants of up to 60 are welcomed.
An indoor venue is preferred.
