The following youtube footage are demonstrative examples of the formats, styles and techniques our performers utilise to give you a sample overview of our Touring Arts Performance Recycling Soundscapes.

Presented in an interactive and live collaborative music making environment the Recycling Soundscapes show explores the scientific world of sound creation; spaces, shapes, surfaces and materials in an engaging and thought provoking manner requiring students to absorb, ponder, process and create.

STUDENTS and EDUCATORS have the opportunity for accelerated learning and absorption through dynamic interactive & live playing in a whole assembly or classroom environment.

Students will learn by doing, feeling and exploring new ‘found objects’ percussive instruments; their resonant bodies and material properties within an interactive drumming experience that mixes meticulously handcrafted or commercially manufactured with ‘found objects’ instruments, further evolving to a ‘Body Percussion Orchestra’ ensemble.

As the instruments find their way into their hands, students are amazed, often finding a new level of understanding and appreciation; obtaining a new respect for everyday found objects and sounds they produce from almost nothing. Their learning curve amplified as they begin to play the instruments and contribute their own musical ideas within a collaborative percussion composition built on a criss-cross of music genres, rhythms and cultures.
